the area was beautiful. however the pool is not closed. anyone can walk in and out of the pool area. people who were not with us were using the pool during our stay. host was no help when we had issues on day one entering the home. also one bed missing which was a huge inconvenience

Loved the property. Bottled water, easy beach access, water taxi was always quick to pick us up (flag them down from dock, $5 each person). Clearwater Scuba Diving was only a minute walk.

A spacious house just minutes from the beach. We enjoyed the great location as well as all the amenities the house offered.

Our family of 4 just returned last night from a 7 night stay at Blue Orchid. This was our first trip to Roatán, and I can honestly say Blue Orchid was an integral part of making our trip so amazing. Safe and peaceful location. 15 mins walk either way to West End or West Bay. Walk down the steps in front and you have beach and a surprisingly good little snorkel. We made use of the neighborhood palapa every day, drinking our coffee in the mornings, and relaxing with cocktails in the evenings. The pool at Blue Orchid was such a great place to come back to for some chill and relax time. We saw macaws in the trees daily, and the island agouti were out and about and fun to watch,as well. Hummingbirds galore, too! The house had plenty of room for us and lacked for nothing that we needed. Beds were very comfy! Electricity is extra, but we only used the ac units at night and our final bill for 7 days was only $115, which is quite reasonable considering how expensive electric is on the island.

This was our first trip to Roatan. We were a group of 6, 4 kids aged 5 to 19 and 2 parents. This property really worked out perfectly for us. With 3 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms, everyone had their own space. The kitchen was well equipped and suited to preparing large meals for our family. There was plenty of indoor and outdoor dining space. The large covered porch was a great spot for morning coffee, taking in the views and seeing and hearing the Scarlet Macaws which visited daily. The kids loved having a pool and mom and dad appreciated having it adjacent to the covered deck to keep an eye on the kids from the shade.
We found the location to be very convenient. We walked to West Bay on the beach a couple of times. There are several restaurants and bars within a very short distance and water taxis are abundant and reasonably priced. This location was a great base from which to explore, close to most of the more trafficked ares, while being able to return to a quiet neighborhood.

Our 5 night stay at Blue Orchid was perfect for our relaxing Scuba vacation to Roatan. The property was exactly as described with all the amenities we needed. We were less than a five minute walk from our dive shop (Clearwater Adventures -- Highly Recommended) and a quick water taxi or short walk restaurants and shops in West Bay and West End. We particularly enjoyed the quiet and peaceful location, which was away from more crowded tourist areas. The swimming pool was also a great place to relax and cool off. Communication with the property management was also spot on with quick replies and help with transport to/from the airport. When reading reviews for Airbnb's in Roatan, I saw several comments about electricity charges, but we were able to manage this pretty easily without any major additional expense by ensuring that the AC, lights, etc. were all off when we were not at the property. Overall great experience!

Location is right in between two great areas, West Bay and West End. The home was comfortable, clean and spacious for us five guests. Management company responded same day with any questions. The pool was clean and maintained daily. It was a nice place to stay and had no complaints. FYI: if you want to use kayaks or the waterfall in the pool, reach out 24 hours before as the host/management might be busy the day of.

Great house, looked like the pictures. Close proximity to the water which was a plus. Management was great and responded in a timely manner to any questions.

This unit is GORGEOUS. It felt very luxurious, American finishing and appliances stood out. The beds were super comfy and the space is large. Host was very helpful to us with our luggage and arrival time. The pool is lovely, super private and gorgeous views. The kitchen is great. Honestly we loved it. Only thing to say is you need a car or plan to water taxi. Also, electric bill here was very expensive, $57USD for five people using the power a somewhat conservative amount for three days. It was worth it! Just something to budget in for your stay here. Also the beach pergola is AWESOME! Definitely go down there for sunset.
