Great communication and amazing place to stay. Would definitely recommend if visiting West Bay

Great house and location!

The house is great but there are two things you need to be very aware of. One, there is no pool. Despite the advertisement and photos. They say you can go down the giant hill to the nearby hotel and use their pool but that hotel new nothing of us. So don’t be fooled. Secondly, that is the steepest hill and it’s over 200 stairs to get to West Bay. You can drive to West Bay but it’s a long drive over many many speed bumps. We timed it. Took about ten minutes to drive and four minutes to walk down the hill. It’s just the going back up the hill that’s ridiculous. Besides those two very big issues, it’s a great place. It’s clean, has laundry, air conditioners work great and the management is easy to communicate with. I just think they need to be more honest with their advertisement.

While the place was fine, the communication with the host, which is important in such an exotic destination, was a disaster. Host did not proactively provide us with check-in info. After asking multiple times, they said I should have received infos but did not send it, even after I asked again multiple times. I asked a few other questions but was left on read. e.g., we could not use the pool as we had no info where it is. On top, they charged us 20$ for electricity for 3 days, which seems excessive given our very low use.

The place itself was quite nice, even if a little on the rustic side. It is advertised für max 8 people, which honestly is a stretch. 4 adults and 4 kids sure, but the top room is very small and not very comfortable for adults. The location is fine, be aware that it's always a little drive from West Bay and there are no restaurants around. Very steep roads make it unattractive to walk around. Hosts provide lots of amenities, including towels, which was very nice.

Casa Buena Vida is located above West Bay. It sits perched in a nice quiet neighborhood that we felt safe in. The home is up a very steep drive. Be prepared both for driving & walking as it will be a work out ! The community pool is very nice & down the road on the left. To the left of the house there is a path that leads to 143 stairs right down to West Bay…. not for the weak or out of shape. It sure was nice to walk down and snorkel sometimes without driving & paying to park. Parking was a dollar an hour if there was a spot available in the lot nearest Bananarama. House was clean with lots of areas to relax. Porches were great to read & watch sunset from. Overall the house was very nice. 8.5 stars !!!!

La casa fue un oasis para nuestras vacaciones familiares. Está ubicado en una de las zonas residenciales más hermosas de Roatán. Puedes caminar hasta la playa de West End, si no alquilas un coche (hay varios escalones, en medio de una maravillosa vegetación). La casa se mantiene en excelentes condiciones. La piscina disponible tiene el tamaño perfecto para relajarse durante la tarde. El anfitrión respondió rápidamente a todas mis preguntas y fue de gran ayuda. Sin duda, planearé visitar esta casa nuevamente.//The house was an oasis for our family vacation. It is located at one of the most beautiful residential zones in Roatan. You can walk to West End beach, if you do not rent a car (there are several steps, in the middle of wonderful vegetation).The house is kept in excellent condition. The pool available is the perfect size for relaxing during the afternoon. The host responded quickly to all my questions and was very helpful- I certainly will plan to visit this house again.

We had a tremendous experience. Beautiful house and accommodations. The hosts were very experienced and helpful. We fell in love with area and neighborhood. We will certainly return. A++

Clean, great view, big house. No complaints.

The place was equipped with everything (even the essentials that you could easily forget) which I thought was kind of them to think of their guest. House was super clean and super beautiful. Had small issues but nothing that they were attentive to and gave quick responses! Would recommend a stay here for sure!

The stay was absolutely perfect.
We’ve been coming to the Roatan every year for the past ten years and this is our favorite place so far.
Can’t wait to book this Beautiful home again.

Beautiful house, beautiful views and really close to the beach!

We loved staying in this home the decoration was beautiful and the view from the balcony in the living room was beautiful as well. The included amenities were very useful we used the kitchen for most of our meals so we were grateful to have plates utensils and pots and pans and a stove. This was our first time visiting and we were very satisfied with this home. We enjoyed this home just as much as the beach. It was very spacious and comfortable for our group . Overall very satisfied with this home. Maybe I would include that beach towels were included so we didn’t have to bring our own less baggage to bring we were very grateful for those towels too.
